This Spokane Youth Suzuki Academy class is intended as a beginning program for students in grades 3-5 who are curious and interested about learning violin, viola, or cello in a wonderful environment. String instruction is not an option in most school settings until 6th grade, but many students express interest much sooner and we are excited to provide a nurturing and affordable environment to make that a reality! The class will be divided into two portions: whole group instruction and small mini-lessons with 3-4 students paired with an experienced teacher. Upon completion of a two-year cycle in this program, most students will be ready to progress into the Spokane Youth Strings and enjoy the thrill of performing in an orchestra for years to come!
Group classes and mini-private lessons will meet weekly on Mondays from 6:00-7:30pm at Manito United Methodist Church beginning Monday, September 9. Tuition for this program is $60 per month or $440 for the September-May season (if paid in full by October 1st). A required SYSA Parent Meeting will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 7 pm. Enrollment for the program will open in July.
SYSA instructors are providing children with excellent musical ability by partnering with parents in teaching character development on the joyous journey of music study. We're excited to partner with your family!
