You are invited to join us for our first concert of the 2024-2025 season! This concert will include performances by all four Spokane Youth Symphony orchestras, Spokane Youth Strings, Spokane Youth Sinfonietta, Spokane Youth Philharmonic, and Spokane Youth Symphony Orchestra.

All students who were accepted into one of our orchestras at this weekend's auditions need to be enrolled prior to attending rehearsals on Monday, September 9th.

Tickets for the "Diamond Jubilee" Alumni Concert on Saturday, November 30th at 7 pm are now sale at the Fox Box Office. Ticket prices are the same as for our regular season concert individual tickets: Adult-$19, Senior-$17, Youth (under 18)-$15. We welcome all SYS alumni and community members to attend in addition to our SYS families. (Please note that this concert IS NOT included with our season tickets.)

Season tickets are a great deal for our concert audiences. Each subscription for all four concerts is only $48 per adult ($38 SYS Family rate), $44 per senior ($34 SYS Family rate), and $34 per youth under 18 ($24 SYS Family rate). You can choose the area of the hall where you would like to sit. Last season's subscribers can ask for their same seats as last year until September 1st.

The Spokane Youth Suzuki Academy class is intended as a beginning program for students in grades 3-5 who are curious and interested about learning violin, viola, or cello in a wonderful environment. String instruction is not an option in most school settings until 6th grade, but many students express interest much sooner and we are excited to provide a nurturing and affordable environment to make that a reality!

We are very excited about our special 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee concert coming up on Saturday, November 30th! Alumni from years and decades past are making plans to join us that weekend to perform with current members of the Spokane Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Several students from each orchestra were given awards at our "Expo!" concert on May 19th.

An amazing group of graduating seniors performed their last concert with the Spokane Youth Symphony on Sunday, May 19th.

Friday evening, May 24th, four SYS chamber ensembles performed at Holy Names Music Center a concert featuring each group's music that they practiced and received coaching on from coaches, Sharon Cattich (winds), and David Armstrong (strings) during the last year.

The Conductor Appreciation Award was presented to Dr. Roberta Bottelli on May 19, 2024 at the final concert of our Celebrate Spokane season, "Expo!"

"Diamond Jubilee" is the theme of SYS's 75th concert season. The 2024-2025 Concerts at The Fox include November 17, 2024 “Jubilee Treasures," January 26, 2025, “Diamond Variations,” March 16, 2025, “Hidden Gems,” and May 18, 2025, “A Jewel of Our Community.”

The Spokane Youth Symphony’s eighth annual 2024 Spring Tea Luncheon & Silent Auction took place on Saturday, May 11 from 1-3 pm in the beautiful Skyline Ballroom at The Centennial Hotel in downtown Spokane.

Our string orchestras, Spokane Youth Strings and Spokane Youth Sinfonietta, went on tour to perform at two local schools on Tuesday, May 7th

On Saturday, May 4th, a string quartet from the Spokane Youth Symphony participated in the opening ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of the world's fair that opened in Spokane on May 4th, 1974, at the newly constructed Riverfront Park.
